Matheus Siqueira Data Analyst & Developer

Data with engineering discipline

What I do
I'm a data analyst and developer. At the Finance Department of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, I modeled tax databases and automated routines with SQL, Python and Power Query. Today I build Business Intelligence KPIs in Power BI and the ETL pipelines that feed them. For web development, I use React, Next.js, TypeScript and FastAPI to bring that data into applications, from anomaly detection to in-browser computer vision.

How I work
Tax and HR databases full of inconsistent records taught me to distrust input: I validate schemas at the edge, type the contracts between layers and measure before optimising. On this site, that took Lighthouse mobile from 44 to 83 and Total Blocking Time from 1,890 ms to about 80 ms. The gain came from moving the heaviest work off the critical path. Every published case study includes its repository, tests and known limitations.

Background
I'm studying Computer Science at UNIFG (semester 4 of 10) and have completed postgraduate specialisations in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cloud & Edge Computing and Information Security. A degree in Marketing and an MBA in Performance & Analytics explain why I treat product metrics and SEO as technical requirements. I lived in the United States for four years and work in English at C1 level.

Profile

Professional Profile

Three areas of work and the tools behind each.

01

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

I build Power BI dashboards, model data, and create measures and KPIs in DAX, with dataset cleaning and integration in Power Query and exploratory analysis in SQL.

02

ETL, Automation & Data Quality

I structure ETL routines with SQL, Python, and Pandas, standardize and validate datasets, and reduce manual consolidation in recurring processes while preserving integrity and traceability.

03

People Management Data & Development

I structured hiring, staffing, and workforce indicators. I build MVPs and data-driven apps with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.

United States, 2019–2023

Four years in the United States, C1 English

During my years in the US (2019–2023), I completed English as a Second Language at City College of San Francisco. Today I work in English at C1 level.

In 2020, I visited Facebook headquarters (now Meta) in Menlo Park, California. I also visited Amazon's campus in Seattle. In both cases I went as a visitor, without holding a professional role at either company.

ESL is a language program, not a degree. My resume lists it under Additional Training.

Before the US, I worked with sales data and with compensation and personnel budgeting (2014–2019). After returning, I completed an MBA in Digital Media, Performance & Analytics at UNINASSAU and the Full Stack AI Programming course at Infinity School, and moved into data and Business Intelligence work in the public sector. The proof of my technical work is in the projects.
